Jason Bourne real-life inspiration

Have anyone seen the Bourne film series? If you have, you know who Jason Bourne is! But did you know that the main character, Jason Bourne, was based of an inspiration of a real-life person?
Ansel Bourne was a preacher living in Rhode Island in the 19th century who suddenly moved to Pennsylvania and opened a store under the name A.J. Brown. Bourne had been suffering from amnesia at the time and this life changing experience took place while he was under the control of another personality. A few months later, he awoke one morning and was back to the Bourne personality, with no knowledge of how he came to be in Pennsylvania.
After he was returned home with the assistance of his nephew, William James, then at Harvard University, and Richard Hodgson of the Society for Psychical Research traveled to study him. Under hypnosis, they found, he could be induced to assume the personality of either Bourne or Brown, and neither personality had any knowledge of the other.
Medically, this is known as dissociative fugue, and the case is the inspiration for the Jason Bourne character in the “Bourne” series of books and films.
